The Finnish Poodle Club (Suomen Villakoirakerho ry), established 1962, is a breed organization that today has approximately 1 500 members. The Club has several local clubs that organize conformation training, obedience courses, grooming courses and club events.

Once a year the club organizes an official Speciality Show, Finnish Poodle Obedience Championship competition and the Finnish Poodle Agility Championship competition. The Club has advisers for breeding and an agency for health checked litters. The club also arranges some free checkings for PRA and patellar luxation.

The club publishes a magazine called "PUUDELI" (The Poodle) four times a year. It contains up-to-date articles, interviews, info about events, column for junior handlers, conformation-, agility- and obedience results.
